French Market Marketeer Basket

The Marketeer basket is a medium classic handwoven French market basket with long (70cm) flat leather handles naturally oiled.  Can be worn as a shoulder bag.

Most popular as a beach basket or shopping basket and a great alternative to the shopping bag as it is like a straw basket or a wicker basket but woven from palm leaves so very strong and sustainable.

Perfect to take to the farmer's market or use as a home storage basket.

Our market baskets are similar to straw baskets, but are handwoven from palm leaves. They are handwoven and handmade in Morocco. This means our baskets are eco-friendly, sustainable and very strong. Like anything that is handmade, every basket is unique and has its own characteristics.
